I am so excited to have finally finalised my list for Believathon!!
Believe in the Impossible Readathon is a Middle Grade Reading challenge created by BookTuber Gavin Hetherington bringing together a group read and selection of a minimum 4 books from a list of 10 prompts and ALL CELEBRATING MIDDLE GRADE!!

I decided to go for the full eleven and I also decided that I would read back on my TBR as tempting as it is to fill this up with brand new loveliness I wanted to take this opportunity to read those gems I have so far missed the chances to read. Each of my selected books are at minimum a year old but the majority are within the last 5 years.

This I was spoiled for choice here and was struggling between this, A Stitch in Time by Penelope Lively, The Weirdstone of Brisingamen by Alan Garner and The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall.
Again it came down to Littlefae’s choice.
Re-read one of your childhood favourites
Hacker by Malorie Blackman
I read this to absolute pieces as a child, I couldn’t choose between this The Magic Faraway Tree and Mr Galliano’s Circus both by Enid Blyton so Littlefae chose for me.

A fantastic list! I adored Eye of the North – think it’s my favourite book I’ve read this year and the one that got me back into reading middle grade – I’m going to try to re-read it over half term. I’ve got The Gift of Dark Hollow on my list – it’s been sitting on my TBR too long! Twister and Simply the Quest are both fantastic!

Me too! I’ll post my list on Saturday when I’ve had a breather from this last couple of hectic days! I’m glad I’ve got half term to catch up on all my reading commitments so I can enjoy reading the Believathon prompts in November!

I love seeing what you’ve chosen! I’m going to post my choices today too. Funny that you’ve chosen Cogheart for friendship, as I’m going to be reading the 3rd in that series Skycircus for the same prompt!
I’d picked The Box of Delights for my classic but seeing Moondial is swaying me now…
The only one I’ve not picked yet is my childhood fave.

I found some prompts harder than others after all how do you know something has a strong sense of friendship til you’ve read it? Cogheart was a great choice since I’ve already read SkyCircus and so know there’s going to be friendship! hooray for Littlefae who helped me be brutal where I was indecisive- she was very firm about Moondial!!

That was exactly my thinking on the friendship prompt, and the exact same reason I chose Skycircus as I’d read the first two so knew it had a strong friendship!
Good for Littlefae being brutal! I’m going to stick to my guns but might try to squeeze Moondial in before the end if the year too!

I'll definitely see if I could participate with my current tbr pile. I'm a bit behind with it at the moment but want to take part if possible 9though I doubt I'd have time for all prompts, I'm just not that fast a reader,lol but I read so many mg books so it seems silly not to! 😀
If you don't mind me asking: What does signing up do? I've never officially signed up to any reading challenges before although I've seen them floating around the blogger community for a few years.

Thank you!! You can get away with 4 books if you want to do a micro challenge as long as one is Frostheart. This is the first challenge I’ve done that requires logging reading centrally but I think all the ‘signing up’ does is log when you read a book so Gavin can share things with us at the end like the number of books/pages/popular prompts/books etc and for me at least I think it helps you have something go that helps spur you on- other challenges might award points or keep a score as a team/house etc but not this one. You don’t have to do anything to join in you can just read along, blog or post on social media if you want too.
I hope you join us in even the smallest way it would be great- and I’m clearing a chunk of my TBR list in the process!!
