Little Spotlights

After some initial positivity and a stumble I’ve come to the conclusion that regularly highlighting older books and lesser known books is a great thing and I believe it is a good idea to celebrate the books that we love but are not so new anymore and some have not had the benefit of lots of marketing.

I will continue to review older MG books that I read as part of my regular reviewing but have decided to make Little Spotlights mostly for Littlefae and Tinyfae to show their love for the picture books and early readers that inspire them and make them happy!

It also is a sneaky way of building their language, assessment and analysis skills beyond ‘I love it!’.

My rules are:

  • one book that Littlefae &/or Tinyfae have chosen that they really enjoy.
  • I aim books here to be at least 6 months post publication preferably older (some wiggle room if chosen for a specific theme/day)

Some books may have been sent to me free by a review scheme, publishers ; some may have been gifts from friends, family etc; some may have been borrowed from a library or friend; and others will have been purchased new or second hand.
