  • In the Picture Books to Middle Grade we are quite happy to read across a wide range of genres but our faevorite interests include
    • Fairy-tales and Fabulism
    • Adventure
    • Magic, especially witches and fairies!
    • Mystery & Detectives
    • Historical fiction
    • Nature centred and eco-fabulist tales
    • Animals,
    • Fantasy
    • Engineering and Science
    • Highly illustrated chapter and middle grade
    • Middle grade Graphic Novels

For this blog we will not consider Self-Published, New Adult or Adult Fiction nor anything overtly religious in message.

All books are accepted on a review consideration basis. I am a fast reader and the girls enjoy books every day but as I’m first and foremost mum. I cannot, unfortunately, guarantee to standalone review every book but those we enjoy will feature.

Reviews are honest and feature a consideration of the experience, the themes the book explores and an overall expression of enjoyment by the Fae and/or myself depending on the book and it’s audience.
We are very supportive of the #PicturesMeanBusiness campaign so we will always endeavour to include consideration or reference to the illustrator and/or designer if the information is available. Similarly we will credit translators if possible.

I will cross post reviews to Good Reads, Amazon (where I am a Top Contributor for Children’s Books) and Toppsta. I post bookpost and reading pictures and sometimes reading comments to my Twitter account of new books tagging authors, illustrators and publishers where possible and am starting to dabble in Bookstagram!

Any books provided free for review purposes will carry a thank you disclaimer.

Thank you for reading! If you think we are a fit please contact us by filling out the form below.
